In 2017, when Nebiyou Timotewos and his family arrived in Canada, they spent seven months in a shelter, where the community came to their rescue, providing essential support. Now, seven years later, Nebiyou has initiated a project to give back to the community that once helped him. In a world grappling with inflation and survival challenges, 21% of global parents report their children going to bed hungry in the last month, impacting education significantly.

Men's mental health is often overlooked, with alarming statistics showing 84 men commit suicide each week. Societal norms discourage men from seeking help, perpetuating a stigma that hinders emotional expression. Nebiyou Timotewos, having faced numerous challenges, overcame depression and anxiety by embracing his emotions. Now, he has launched a mentorship program to guide young individuals through similar struggles. Focused on personal growth, resilience, and featuring guest speakers, this eight-week program aims to create a supportive community for positive change. Nebiyou's family, alongside the embassy staff, stayed in the war zone for a couple of months during the chaotic bombings. They worked tirelessly to evacuate over 6,000 innocent lives out of the country, ensuring that they helped everyone they could. ventually, they safely shut down the embassy and, with God's grace, executed the evacuation safely. For their selfless, brave, and heroic actions, they were awarded the National Hero Award

Nebiyou Timotewos is a dedicated Youth Documentary Impact Producer, specializing in the distribution and screening of impactful films.

On February 25, 2023, Nebiyou Timotewos was selected as the director of the biggest faculty at York University. Nebiyou was voted into his position by the campus, which contains over 50,000 undergraduate students. Nebiyou started his term on May 1, 2023, alongside his team, and is focused on bringing positive change not only to his faculty but to the entire campus

Nebiyou Timotewos actively serves as a dedicated youth ambassador with Peacebuilders in his community, where he passionately represents the voice of the neglected and unheard.
